Welcome to the Animal Abuse Registry Database Administration System (AARDAS). This web-based software system is designed to enable designated representatives from Animal Welfare and Humane Law Enforcement organizations across the country to participate in sharing and updating information about abuse crimes in an effort to compile the most detailed and accurate representation of animal abuse crimes in existence.
The amount of time you choose to invest into adding and updating cases and abuser information is entirely up to what you are willing to give. This project is 100% volunteer run, so we do not demand a specific number of cases per month. Obviously, the more time you're able/willing to put into researching and following up on cases, the more information we will be able to use. With the introduction of the new statistical graphing, follow-up and thoroughness is even more important than ever.
Its very simple: When your organization comes across an abuse case, or you personally hear about a case in the news - you would log into the admin area, check to see if the case had already been submitted. If the case has not been submitted, you would enter it as a new case, making sure you specify the abuser(s) name (when the case is not open) as well as the source of your information.
If you or your organization has been selected to participate in this program, you should know that you have been chosen from a large group of candidates, and that there are certain policies and procedures you have agreed to which must be maintained at all times.
By participating in the AARDAS program, you agree to the following:
You MUST agree to all of the above before you will be considered as a candidate.
